Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican musician who was born into a family of musicians. Her early years were spent listening to traditional music, boleros from the past, and classic ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana is a lover of Tangos, opera and the various forms of dramatic performing. Ana began to study singing and play the piano in the early years alongside her mother. The singer received more formal singing instruction in the year she turned 16 old and studied with the world-renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. Her musical education continued through the School of Music of Guadalajara University, and then the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. The singer performed at Guadalajara, Mexico City and various cities while a musician and student. The year 2000 saw her move back to America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2007, she relocated to her present home in Southern California. She is currently a member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and regularly performs as a soloist in traditional Latin American music at private events. She has been involved in many local organizations, both as performer and teacher, because of her love for music and arts. Ana was also part of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently teaching in The Performance Loft. Ana is thankful for being able to share her love and love for old-fashioned Latin American songs with others while she hopes to instill a sense of particularly among the younger generation, to help keep this tradition of music lively and alive.Viva Mexico!
