Additionally, she was nominated in addition to other honors in her role, which included 7 consecutive Screen Actors Guild Awards nominations for Outstanding Performance by the Female Actress in a Comedy Series winning three times between 2001 and 2002 in addition to receiving Four Golden Globe Award nominations. One of her first roles was in a McDonald's commercial which featured John Goodman. Her series debut came in the year 1986 on The Ellen Burstyn Show. Mullally was the daughter of Los Angeles in California of Martha Mullally (as being Carter Mullally Jr.), an actor and Paramount Pictures contract player in the 1950s. Mullally was only six years old at the time she moved from Los Angeles to Oklahoma City. Her father is an Oklahoma native. Her heritage is English Irish and Scandinavian. She studied ballet from when she was six years old and danced with the Oklahoma City Ballet during high school. She also attended the School of American Ballet in New York City.
